Freelance Digital Sales Account Manager

VOLT Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Freelance Digital Sales Account Manager in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The successful incumbent will be responsible for growing new business. This position is on a commission only basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business
  • Present our digital ad opportunities at all levels
  • Should be able to create and maintain good relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Must be able to balance creative and business
  • Must be passionate about online advertising
Minimum requirements as follows:
  • Two years plus of advertising sales experience (online experience advantageous)
  • Reputable base of advertising clients and accounts will be advantageous
  • A working understanding of digital media landscape and advertising technology
  • An advertising/marketing or related qualification advantageous
Required Competencies:
  • Strong relationship building and client service background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Must have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be innovative and creative.

Yield Manager

VOLT Africa has an exciting opportunity for a Yield Manager who will be responsible for maximising the revenue across our platforms and our publishing partners. Responsible for analysing data and monetizing the
ad inventory.

Responsibilities:

Yield and Programmatic Management

  • Analyse reports and data to make strategic pricing decisions to generate revenue on inventory that is not being sold by the sales team
  • Maximise revenue or yield for the company
  • Responsible for accurate forecasting, trend analysis and sales strategies.
  • Own and drive programmatic revenue performance to achieve or exceed revenue targets
  • Responsible for maximizing programmatic revenue and the utilization of inventory via pricing rules
    within auctions
  • Manage pricing for various demand sources within the digital advertising business
  • Analysis of revenue, supply and demand, auction win/loss rates & floor pricing
  • Optimize pricing and inventory volume through programmatic platforms for the purpose of maximizing
    revenue
  • Project management of new programmatic initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with our programmatic partners and/or analyst teams to identify opportunities for
    maximizing revenue on a daily basis
  • Contribute knowledge and expertise to our ongoing projects such as redesigning our ad map across
    various platforms
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly yield reporting on various KPIs to stakeholders
Affiliate Management:
  • Manage and facilitate the affiliate publisher on behalf of the advertiser/client
  • Manage the onboarding process and ensure that audiences are aligned with the target market
  • Market client’s products
Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support to publishers and consult with developers
  • Must have problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Qualification:
  • Project management and marketing tertiary qualification.
  • At least 3-4 years of working experience in digital advertising
Required Competencies:
  • Knowledge of web analytics and able to translate quantitative numbers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximise income from client accounts
    ● Achieve sales targets
    ● Identify and develop new business
    ● Present our digital ad opportunities at all levels
    ● Should be able to create and maintain good relationships with clients
    ● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    ● Able to work well under pressure
Training will be provided, but minimum requirements as follows:
  • Two years plus of advertising sales experience (online experience advantageous)
    ● Fully computer literate (Microsoft – PPT, Excel, Word)
    ● An advertising/marketing or related qualification advantageous
    ● Must have a valid driver’s license with own vehicle.

  • Strong relationship building and client service background.
    ● Ability to work in a fast pace, creative environment.
    ● Strong written and verbal communication.
    ● Excellent presentation skills.
    ● Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
